October 5-7, 2018: Congratulations to all our Marlins Swimmers who swam their hearts out at the Kaizen Invitation Meet. Kudos go out to all the record breakers, medal winners, heat winners, personal best performers..

Official Meet Results - Available Here.

Omar Hawes, President:A special 'BIG UP' to all the parents and cheerleaders that took time out to support our swimmers.. giving moral support!!! Coaches...it's still early days yet in the season and our swimmers are showing good potential!! Keep up the good work and maximum respect for your efforts.

Courtney Brown, VP-Administration: Special mention must be made of Zoya Hawes, our little dynamo demolished her 6&Under competitors. New barriers were also broken by some of our CARIFTA hopefuls when Christanya and Josh Johnson broke the 30 second barrier in the 50m Free and also made their intentions clear by recording 1:08+ swims in the 100m Free.

Well done guys, sky’s the limit.

A MASSSIVE BIG UPS to Josh Johnson. As mentioned before, he broke the 30 seconds barrier in the 50m Free and that unofficially would be a NATIONAL AGE GROUP RECORD. Josh swam 29.28 to lower Alford Green’s time of 29.40 swam in 2001.

Our coaches parents and athletes would have recognized that despite our good showing at this our 1st meet of this term, there is a lot of room for improvement for the swimmers.

This can ONLY be achieved by our swimmers consistently participating in training sessions, improved attitudes towards training and the desire to improve. Nevertheless this meet was never intended to see our swimmers at their peak, performances were noted and assessments made by our coaching staff who stand ready to work assiduously with their groups to deliver the results that we as parents and as an Executive know they can deliver.

On behalf of the Marlins Executive I am making a special plea to our parents and guardians to keep encouraging the kids, get them to regular sessions more consistently, be patient and TRUST THE PROCESS .
